Bay Quest
Charters, David Rowe as Captain, offers private fishing
charters for up to 25 passengers. Available for hire
April through February. We fish for striped bass (rockfish),
bluefish, Spanish mackerel, red drum, cobia, trout, and bottom
fish (spot, croaker, & flounder). Depending on the season,
we fish in the Potomac River, middle to lower Chesapeake Bay,
and coastal Atlantic Ocean.
Penn rods and reels (nothing but the best!) are included, as
well as, all the bait & ice. No fishing license is needed as the
boat is fully licensed to fish in Virginia, Maryland, North
Carolina and the Potomac River. The only thing you need to bring
is a lunch, beverage, and coolers to take home your catch. An
experienced mate will help you throughout the day, and clean and
pack your fish when you return to the dock.
The boat is also for hire for scenic tours and
evening dinner cruises across the Potomac River to
a waterfront restaurant. There is nothing more beautiful than
seeing bald eagles, blue herons, ospreys, ducks & geese, as well
as, the many other species of wildlife the Chesapeake Bay area
has to offer.
The Bay Quest is the perfect classroom for ecology
and marine study groups. Charter us to examine oyster habitat,
take water samples, catch live marine specimens, and explore the
ecosystem of the Chesapeake Bay.
