Fishing remains good as you can see from some of the photos from this week.

Stripers are running 5 – 6 lbs with some 25 – 35 pounders mixed in. Still catching some small throw backs also but we are definitely having better luck catching larger fish now. They seem to be feeding early in the morning so that’s when the big bite has been on.
December 3rd and 17th will be the Bay Quest’s last two Open Boat days for 2010. The cost is $100 per person which includes the mate’s tip. I plan on leaving from Coan River Marina in Lottsburg. We’ll be catching Striped Bass and you are allowed to keep two fish a person. By reservation only and must be paid in advance. Call 804-529-6725 or email to make your reservation or for more information.
Thanks,
Capt. Dave
Nice warm fall days, calm seas, and striper fishing…what a good combination. Today, had a larger group from Cumberland County and we caught our limit of 23 Stripers. The fish were not really large but still a lot of fun and in my opinion they are a really good eating size.
The cooler temperatures have run off the Bluefish and it’s all Rockfish (Striped Bass) now. We’ve had some really windy days this past week and I apologize to Saturday and today’s charter for not getting around to take photos of your group.
I know it’s last minute but I have this Thursday(Veterans Day) and this Sunday open for charter. Give me a call or email me if you want to pick up one of these days. If you can’t get enough to make a charter but you want to go to get in on the rockfish action, please let me know and maybe I can get enough of you together to make a trip. Thanks to all who fished with me this past week. Capt. Dave
