We had our limits today on Stripers(Rockfish) and Red Drum. We also caught Bluefish and had a nice keeper Black Sea Bass which we don’t see too often. Hopefully, Hurricane Sandy will weaken and there will not be too much flooding and wind damage.
Still catching bluefish, puppy drum, and rockfish. Also, caught a Smooth Puffer fish today(3rd photo below) which is the 4th one ever caught during my fishing career. We certainly have had a variety of different species this year. Thanks to everyone who fished on the open boat today. We had a great group of people and Mate Jacob & I hope everyone had a good time. Couldn’t have asked for any better weather and we had lots of action. David
The cooler weather has brought on the Stripers and we still have Bluefish & Puppy Drum–a real good mix. This mix should last 3 or 4 more weeks and each week the size and numbers of Stripers will increase as the water gets cooler. Don’t wait until the last minute to schedule your charter to get in on the action. David
I have carried several dinner cruises across the Potomac to eat at several different Maryland waterfront restaurants this past week. We couldn’t have asked for any prettier weather and the full moon was an added bonus. We are catching plenty of bluefish and lots of Stripers most of which are still too small to keep. With the cooler temps rolling in this week that should soon change. Stay tuned and I’ll let you know when they arrive.
