Bluefish are gone and we are trolling for the larger Stripers. We had good action this weekend with birds on fish and great weather. We’ve been catching our limit on the medium to large fish now. Large and larger fish will be mixing in the catch as the season progresses. The days I don’t have a fishing charter I have been oystering so if you would like some oysters in the shell give me a call. Capt. Dave
Thankfully, the Bay Quest team made out fine from hurricane Sandy with no flooding, wind damage or power loss. Our prayers go out to those up north who got hit this time. The Bay Quest didn’t fish this week until yesterday(Saturday) and the wind whipped up and made it uncomfortable to go out in the Bay where the bigger Stripers have been biting. We stayed in the calmer waters and caught more throwbacks than keepers. We ended up with 5 keeper Stripers. I want to thank Robert Knight for getting up the charter and all in the group for hanging in there. They were all good anglers and I wish the weather had cooperated so Jacob and I could have gotten them on the big fish. Hope you’ll come back and give it another try. Capt. Dave
