Great summer time fishing!

There’s no better time to try you your hand at fishing than during the summer on the Chesapeake Bay when we have lots of different species to target. If the summer heat on the land has you sweating come get out on the water where it’s cooler.

This week we chummed, trolled & bottomfished as we worked around the weather.

We caught the first Spanish Mackerel this week with Bluefish. Cobia season starts this week on June 16 so lots of fishing options now.

We caught blue catfish, Striped bass, Spot & Perch this past week. Cobia season starts June 16.

We had the honor to participate in the Wounded Warriors event hosted by the Seafarers Union at Piney Pt. A great event and a great start for the regular Striper season. All the boats caught fish. I have a few days available if you want to go fishing. Give me a call.

We hosted a group from Longwood University this week. Over the span of a couple days we went to Tangier Island and over to Smith Island. On Smith Island we were surprised to find that a group of dignitaries were also there to dedicate a plaque to commemorate the Smith Island Cake. Absolutely great weather and so was the cake!
